That's the quote of day from C. We spent a chunk of the day on the
Water Busses, and C was a big fan, until we got on it. Then he kept
saying, "All done, wadoh bus! No wadoh bus!"
Today was a lot cooler, but no rain yet, so we got on the water bus
and visited two of Venice's islands- Murano and Burano. Murano is
famous for it's blown glass, and we enjoyed looking in all the windows
for some goodies to bring home. Burano is famous for it's lace and
hand stiched linens. Burano also has the most colorful houses we've
seen yet (pic).
We've continued working on the Treasure Hunt book for Venice. The kids
have spotted 96 winged lions! (symbol of Venice)
It is hard to believe we have been gone nearly 3 weeks! Our 'Big
Adventure' is going really fast in some ways, and in other ways it
seems like a lifetime ago that we were in Rome! We are all doing good.
We've all been extra tired- I think that 3 weeks of travelling are
catching up with us!
Ciao!

Sarri and the G's...what an experience you all are having! I love reading your blogs, (can't believe you have the time to do it!) and I am sure it will all see like a lifetime ago when you are home re-reading your entries. You are such a fantastic writer...which I comment regularly to with the folks back home! Even though you are the writer and Joel is the cook...maybe, just maybe he could blog once? Would love to hear what he has to say! Diana told me in class that she loves that Maddy is in Venice, because she thinks Venice is really cool. So, tell Maddy that each day we check her calendar and look at the map and track where she is AND we have gotten out the laptops and checked your blog! (thanks for making it G rated) The kids think it is cool...well and so does their teacher! Keep safe and happy writing, eating (something other than pizza) and happy hunting kids!
later, Paige
Oooh! I bet you're having fun with your camera in that town!
